Centre County Correctional Facility

Mission Statement

The mission of the Centre County Correctional Facility is for the detention of person(s) adjudicated as offenders or pre-trial detainee's as determined by the legal committing authority. The intent of such incarceration is to:

  • Provide a safe and secure environment for offender and staff.
  • Offer programs for positive personal growth and positive reintegration into the community upon their release.
  • Insure that basic physical and medical health needs are attended to.
  • Protect the basic constitutional rights of the offender(s).
  • Provide incarceration of the offender for the protection of society.
  • Insure that all incarcerated offenders are available for court appearances.
