Inclusionary Housing
The Centre County Planning and Community Development Office has developed model policies to promote the creation of affordable housing. A Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development LUPTAP (Land Use Planning and Technical Assistance) grant was awarded to the County for this purpose.

VisitAbility ensures that everyone has basic access to visit homes with ease. Visitable features include: one no-step entrance, bathroom on the first floor, wide doorways, and a clear path of travel on the main floor. (Promoting VisitAbility in Pennsylvania). Affordable Housing Summit
The Centre County Affordable Housing Coalition will hold its 3rd Annual Affordable Housing Summit on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Foxdale Village, State College. Information on the Summit will be posted approximately one month prior to the event. Maybe you've thought about owning your home for some time but assumed you could not afford it. Perhaps changes in your life have forced you to find a new place to live. In either case, you may be able to find help through this new First-Time Home Buyer Program [PDF] which is being offered by the Centre County Commissioners.
Task Force on Affordable Housing
In November of 2005 the Centre County Board of Commissioners appointed a Task Force on Affordable Housing to review the report prepared by Diana T. Myers and Associates, Centre County Affordable Housing Needs Assessment: A Blueprint for Action, and report back with specific recommendations to address the need for affordable housing in Centre County.
