This is our latest restoration effort---We installed a 600 foot mud sill and two log vanes on a section of Penns Creek across from Kline Road in Gregg Township. Funding for this project came from the Penns Valley Conservation Association through donations and an anonymous grant, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and the North Central Pa Conservancy DEP Growing Greener grant. Pa Fish and Boat Commission provided the design and Pa Fish and Boat and US Fish and Wildlife Service completed the construction with the help of crews from Quehanna Boot camp and PVCA volunteers. We will plant a buffer along the stream in the fall and install some Ag BMPs on the farm in the spring.
